  • Vuvezela free app tops one million downloads via guardian.co.uk Awesome news, especially for the work associate next to me who thinks this will destroy World Cup coverage in the U.S. Posted via web from hoshposh’s posterous
  • Dalglish throws hat into ring with surprise Liverpool bid via guardian.co.uk Oh my! Could it come true? I remember chanting his name in the stands in a semi-final FA Cup game, when I was young. While I would love to see this succeed, I feel that failure might tarnish his image, and cause him unrepairable damage. Posted via web [...]
  • Sven-Goran Eriksson issues a ‘come and get me’ plea to Liverpool FC via liverpoolecho.co.uk Or we could just say ‘No! stay in the sun where you are!’. Definitely not a good choice for the next Liverpool manager for me. Too laid back and does not come dripping with success. Posted via web from hoshposh’s posterous
  • Liverpool confirm Benítez exit via guardian.co.uk Sad to see him leave and a shame he was not given an opportunity to turn things around. Now looking forward to seeing who his replacement will be. I am hoping for Martin O’Neil. Posted via web from hoshposh’s posterous

  • Your Mom Wants an iPad I’ve been amazed by the flood of negative press surrounding Apple’s latest offering. I like what David Pogue had to say about the shape of a typical Apple product release — “months of feverish speculation and hype online,” followed by “the bashing by bloggers who’ve never even tried it,” followed by “people lining up to [...]
  • Race Day Is Here The Washington family started the day with a lot of nervous energy.  Would Death Corner continue pose problems for the driving team?  How would the new brakes hold up to the intense competition? In a few hours we will find out.  Reports were that a rival team held secret test runs last night, but our drivers [...]
  • JBI Development Not For The Maven-Hearted I have managed to persuade my current project team that Maven is worth their time and investment, and we have seen some good results from using it.  It has been good for the simple projects, but our hope was that for more complicated scenarios our understanding of the few maven verbs would see us through [...]
  • Redbox Still Leading . . . In My Book This week I saw that Redbox, a company who’s services I use, were in my news feed twice. 1. Article on TechCrunch where they have decided to offer new releases 28 days after the DVD has been officially released in stores. 2. They will be offering Blu-ray rentals later this year. It should be stated that they still [...]
  • Can You Own an iPad Without a Computer I have been looking for a replacement computing device for my mother to use.  Her constant requirement to me is "something to read emails on my hotmail account". Originally I was thinking of a Netbook like a Dell Mini so I took her to BestBuy for her to get an idea of size and form factor. [...]
